NIRF 2027 Data Capture Clinic: Find the Marks You're Losing

Every DCS entry defined, evidenced and signed off before the India Rankings 2027 portal opens

The Data Capturing System is where ranking outcomes are settled before a single score is computed. Over five evenings, your NIRF team prepares the India Rankings 2027 submission section by section, with the definitions, evidence and internal sign-off that make every number defensible.

What is the NIRF 2027 Data Capture Clinic?

The NIRF 2027 Data Capture Clinic is a five-evening applied workshop by Edhitch, run live online from 16 to 20 November 2026, Monday to Friday, 7–9 PM IST. NIRF nodal officers and IQAC teams prepare their India Rankings 2027 Data Capturing System submission section by section, with correct definitions, verified evidence and internal sign-off. The fee is ₹2,499 + GST.

Why does this matter now?

NIRF has typically opened its Data Capturing System for the next edition in late November (on 29 November 2023 for India Rankings 2024). The weeks before it opens are the time to fix how data is defined, collected and verified, not the days before the deadline.

Errors in data capture are expensive. A faculty member counted under the wrong category, expenditure classified under the wrong head, or a publication without the institution's affiliation costs marks no amount of performance can recover. Since the 2025 cycle, NIRF also deducts marks for retracted papers and self-citations, so research data needs checking before it is entered.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a rank-improvement programme?

No. It is focused on one thing: submitting complete, accurate and defensible data in the Data Capturing System. Clean data capture prevents marks being lost to definitions and entry errors, but we do not promise a rank.

When does NIRF data capture open?

NIRF has typically opened its Data Capturing System in late November or December for the following year's rankings; for India Rankings 2024 it opened on 29 November 2023. Check nirfindia.org for the India Rankings 2027 notice.

What is negative marking for retractions in NIRF?

From the 2025 cycle, NIRF deducts marks under Research and Professional Practice (RP) for retracted research papers and for self-citations. Publication records should be checked before they are entered.

What are the five NIRF parameters?

Teaching, Learning and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI), and Perception (PR). In the Engineering category the weights are 30, 30, 20, 10 and 10 per cent; weights differ by category.

How many NIRF ranking categories are there?

17, after NIRF 2025 added a Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) category.

How do I pay, and do I get a GST invoice?

Register on this page. We confirm your seat and share payment details one-to-one on WhatsApp or email, then issue a GST invoice under Adapedu Online Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Is there an early-bird discount?

No. The fee is the same for everyone, whenever you register: ₹2,499 + GST per participant, or ₹10,999 + GST for an institutional team of 5.

Is there a rate for teams?

Yes. An institutional team of 5 is ₹10,999 + GST. For groups of 2 to 4, or more than 5, choose the quote option and we will send a price.

I've attended an Edhitch programme before. Which should I take next?

After the Integrated Strategy Sprint, leaders usually move to the NIRF 2027 Data Capture Clinic, THE Rankings Readiness or NBA SAR Mastery. After the OBE Implementation Sprint, faculty move to the CO–PO Attainment Lab. Health sciences institutions should take the health sciences programme. Tell us what you attended in the form and we will advise.

What do Core, Applied and Advanced mean?

Core programmes set up the data, evidence and plan an institution needs. Applied programmes are hands-on with your own data. Advanced programmes are for teams working on a live submission, SAR or global ranking.

How often do Edhitch programmes run?

One programme a month, November 2026–April 2027, each Monday to Friday, 7–9 PM IST.

Do I receive a certificate?

Yes. Participants who complete the programme receive a certificate of completion from Edhitch.

Can Edhitch run this for our institution only?

Yes. Any programme can be delivered privately for 25 or more faculty, on your dates and built around your institution's context. Write to info@edhitch.com.
