What does a NAAC consultant do?
A NAAC consultant helps an institution prepare for accreditation: assessing readiness, organising data and evidence for each metric, preparing the IIQA, SSR and AQAR, responding to DVV queries and rehearsing the peer team visit. Edhitch does this on Master Data Map, its accreditation software, so the data the institution prepares is kept on one record and reused for NBA, NIRF and every future AQAR.
Our approach: no consultant can promise a grade — NAAC’s peer team and data validation decide that. What we can do is make sure every metric is supported by verified data and evidence, so the grade reflects your institution’s real work and nothing is lost to gaps or mismatches.
What we do for NAAC
Choose the support you need, or run the full cycle with us.
| Service | What it covers | When |
|---|---|---|
| NAAC readiness diagnostic | An independent review of your data, evidence and criterion-wise position before you file the IIQA, with a prioritised list of gaps | Before IIQA or a reaccreditation cycle |
| SSR and AQAR preparation | Metric-by-metric preparation of the Self-Study Report and AQARs, with every figure and its evidence kept on one institutional record in Master Data Map | From IIQA to SSR submission |
| Binary and MBGL transition | Planning for the new Binary accreditation and Maturity-Based Graded Levels, including the self-declaration evidence each attribute needs | Institutions moving to the reformed framework |
| DVV clarification support | Point-by-point responses to Data Validation and Verification queries, with the supporting documents mapped to each metric | After SSR submission |
| Mock peer team visit | A rehearsal of the peer team visit with criterion-wise interactions, presentations and document checks | Four to six weeks before the visit |
| IQAC capacity building | Faculty development programmes and IQAC training so your own team can sustain the work after the cycle | Throughout the year |
How an engagement works
- Diagnose. We review your current data and evidence against NAAC requirements and show where marks are being lost.
- Plan. A criterion-wise plan with owners and dates, agreed with your IQAC and leadership.
- Prepare on one record. Your data and evidence go into Master Data Map, which generates the IIQA, SSR and AQAR and keeps every figure consistent across NAAC, NBA and NIRF.
- Rehearse. A mock peer team visit and review of the DVV-ready evidence vault.
- Submit and respond. Support through submission, DVV clarifications and the peer team visit.
Why institutions choose Edhitch
- One record, not spreadsheets. Your SSR, AQAR, NBA SAR and NIRF data come from the same verified record in Master Data Map.
- Evidence ready for DVV. Documents are tagged to the metrics they support, with version history and an audit trail.
- Your team keeps the capability. IQAC training is part of every engagement, and the platform stays with you after we leave.
- 12+ years in Indian higher education. 9,000+ faculty and leaders trained across streams, from engineering to medical, law and management.

Every Edhitch NAAC engagement is delivered on Master Data Map, so your work becomes a lasting institutional record, not a one-time file.

Frequently asked questions
What does a NAAC consultant do?
A NAAC consultant helps an institution assess its readiness, organise data and evidence for each metric, prepare the IIQA, SSR and AQAR, respond to DVV queries and rehearse the peer team visit. Edhitch delivers this on Master Data Map so the prepared data is reused for NBA, NIRF and future AQARs.
Can a consultant guarantee a NAAC grade?
No. The grade is decided by NAAC’s data validation and peer team. A good consultant makes sure every metric is backed by verified data and evidence, so marks are not lost to gaps, mismatches or missing documents.
When should we start preparing for NAAC?
Ideally 9 to 12 months before the SSR is due, starting with a readiness diagnostic. Institutions with less time can start with a focused plan on the metrics that carry the most weight.
Do you support the new Binary accreditation and MBGL?
Yes. We help institutions plan for Binary accreditation and the Maturity-Based Graded Levels, including the self-declaration evidence each attribute needs.
Do you help with DVV clarifications and the peer team visit?
Yes. We prepare point-by-point responses to DVV queries with the supporting documents, and run a mock peer team visit before the actual visit.
How are NAAC advisory services priced?
Each engagement is scoped to your institution — the services you need, your size and your timeline — and quoted after a short initial call or diagnostic.
