Business Development Manager

As a part of the business development team you will play a key role increasing access to a world-class education. You will help develop and execute on high-level strategies that will help the company achieve sustainability and growth. You will pursue and own partner relationships that create value for students, for university partners, and for us. Additionally, you will work across the our team, with business development, product, university partnerships, in service of our growth and overall success. We are looking for an entrepreneurial business development manager to pursue strategic partnerships and help drive our sales/ partnership strategy with top education institutions. The person must be passionate about changing education.


Develop, evaluate, and own strategic partner relationships with educational organizations. Drive deal process -- define terms, align internal stakeholders, negotiate terms, and close deal. Represent the company externally in meetings and presentations. Collaborate with the business development team on development of overall strategy. Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform team decision making.


Superior written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical abilities, excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for education. A record of past achievement. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Entrepreneurial drive. Comfort working in an ambiguous and quickly-changing environment. Proven success in driving dealflow, managing the sales pipeline, and negotiating all aspects of a legal agreement. Creative problem solving. Outstanding ability to collaborate, understand and empathize with others, and listen. Deep understanding of the evolving higher education ecosystem. Ability to manage senior level external stakeholders. 1-3 years of relevant experience, working in a B2B environment. Experience in education and digital media space would be preferred.
